ive owned a long dasher missed , matt sunk a dasher reamer in basically to fireform 6x47 lap cases out to the long dasher , we did it on 2 actions , had whidden make the full length die off fire formed cases , some things work others dont , i found it picky to tune ,once i had the load it was a good thing , 60 grain bullets at 3850 with pressure though , but not worth the effort im of the opinion , varmint accurate buy not 6 dasher accurate

Is a 6x47lap too obvious?
I made a. 22x47 Lap simply because I love my 6/250

I agree with Trev on this one
22x47 lap I have a couple of blue boxes of cases just for it. One day.

Well it is going to be a .............drum Roll please a 6x47Lapua
A 30 inch Bartlein 1-9" tube in pretty much a straight taper is waiting to be fitted.
I put a couple of hours into stripping old finish and started the oiling process this afternoon after work.
Scope is undecided but it will be mounted in Burris Signature rings with the 20 MOA inserts.

Going to see how it balances Macca it may end up at 26".
75 grn Vmax,67 grn Copprheads for paddock work and 103-107 grainers for fun at the range.

the balance was my first thought to andrew i had a mate years ago with a 30 inch 308 barrel on a sako varminter and was out of balance and looked a little silly , 26 a much better option
