November last year i acquired an L46 Sako in 22 Hornet and I absolutely love it.
Smooooth as and has accounted for many a critter some bigger than recommended
Win 296 behind the Nosler 34 grain Hollow point is fanbloodytastic.
The Smooth little Hornet has shown to be very versatile with just about any load as Branxhunter will attest
November this year and I have embarked on another project this time an L46 in 222 that will become a mighty 218 Bee !
The stock is cactus as is the barrel so I will be ordering a Hatcher Classic stock as well as a TSE 1-14 Chrome Moly barrel.
Not sure whether to go an Octagonal straight taper barrel or stay with the original sporter profile.

Re: Back to the past
Ahh the 218 bee
I had one of those Andrew on a nice old good Looking martini
They are a great little cartridge as is the hornet ( owned a cracking one of those )
I reckon go the 218 as long as you can get it to work well in the repeater and have fun with it otherwise 221 fireball

Re: Back to the past
Andrew ignore camel. A 218 bee will be cool. I’ve just heard so many mixed reports on the barrel. But you have one so know what you are getting
