Basically if you rifle conforms to Field class, you can come and try f class so check out the rules at

and click link "Rules" and about page 40 you'll find the defintion of a field rifle.

Castlemaine is about 1.5hrs from Melbourne and you'll need about 50 rounds of ammo. event info see link
