I like that. Good to see some people still think it's okay to pursue legal pastimes in this PC gone crazy world.
And does PC really stand for politically correct or is it pretty crap.
cheers

the Narromine Shire Council and the Mayor Mr Craig Davies, have supported and assisted our annual LRBR Championships for many years.
I could be wrong, but I doubt if many other councils would support firearm related sporting events in this manner.
cheers

Great to hear. You wouldn’t get that with the big city councils.
for this year's and future Australian GBA 600/1000 yd BR National Matches, all relay winners of small group and highest scoring target will be awarded the just released GBA badge pins.
once again we are indebted to the GBA committee for their generosity and continuing support of our international LRBR matches.
The weather forecast as far as wind is looking pretty good. Did you sack the bloke who organised the weather last year?
Lucky the event was not planned a week earlier.
It is looking like a few of us could end up spooning in the morning with the cold temps though and maybe some light rain on Friday or Saturday which I don't think too many locals will complain about .

I haven't seen or heard anything yet, but my prediction is that, hack spit, Berger 130s will fare very well in a certain 6.5x47 at the 600.
Yes, a fella from up your way did do very well with his 6.5x47 in LH.
The weather here has been great, about 20 degrees through the day, quite light winds compared to most years at Narromine. There were a few showers before the event which look like they might have settled some of the dust.
The forecast is looking good for the next few days.

Been feeding cattle.
Was a pearler of a day here. Glad the weather was good at Narromine. Hope the groups were small.
Well its not too late for you to drop in and join in the fun,

I wish.
Unfortunately feeding every day at the moment. Snow knocked the calving cows around a bit.
Good luck in the 1000.
Cheers
I have just got home from the Narromine-Dubbo 600 and 1000yd BR comp and what a great 6 days of shooting it was.
First of all, thanks so much to Dave Goodridge for putting in so much work to run such a well run, enjoyable and efficient 6 days of 600-1000yd benchrest competition. Dave not only organised and ran the competition, organised sponsors, prizes, badges, catering and 100 other things, but also helped with scoring all targets, likely at the expense of his own shooting aspirations during this comp. Top bloke on top of all that.
The weather for this competition was perfect, with warmer than usual winter weather and some tricky, but not too unbearable winds. Very few people blown off target during record at 1000yds. The atmosphere and camaraderie was once again very enjoyable, a great bunch of blokes and a really good vibe the whole way through.
I cant wait for next year.
