Isn't 3500 a bit slow?
I can do 3600 out of my 17H
The 3800 looks a bit more respectable or am I expecting to much?

Given I have seen absolutely no pressure signs so far I reckon 4100 fps should be achievable with BM2, and 3900 fps with the BM8208.

Given here isn't a lot of load data around that's why I am trying a few different powders and posting the results here. All the loads have been easy to extract (extraction of this old action is not a strong point), primers showing no flattening, and powder volume ranges from in the shoulder to base of the neck - no compressed loads.

Dead is dead and that means it's a success regardless of speed in my book.
Happy testing.

Some more testing this morning. Just to confirm the 22.8gn load for grouping, and I might be done.

I also ran up a few more 0.2gn increments for BM8208. BM2 is still the pick.

All loads were easy extraction, no pressure signs.
