Two caping knives for my mate

Post by deermasterhunter »

My mate wanted a couple of nice little caping knives and naturally being a deer hunter he wanted deer antler handle scales on them and wanted as much of the natural antler showing as possible.
It just so happens a great bloke Peter, sent me some sambar antlers and I used some of them on these two knives. Thanks Peter.
Steel is Sandvik 12c27 pins are brass with Mosiac pins in the middle. Sheaths will be leather with a flap over top and all embossed. Hope he will be happy with them.
Anyway Thanks for looking

It must have been the smoked brisket, pulled pork & chicken wings I cooked for Lois and two mates. I put 5 empty red wine bottles and 18 dead beer bottles in the recycling so I have no memory of posting that. Glad Lois was drinking scotch :D

Ha ha Thanks Barry. I just started a couple of Skeleton knives. I think I sort of stuffed the first two up slightly, but they still look ok. Just in the oven now temepering them, then the grinding will start as their stainless and always harden and temper before I grinding. It becomes a slow job grinding with a dip in the water every pass, but they always come out straight and do the job well. :D
