3 for 3 as they fell.
G"day All
Feeling like a kill today so sprinkled a bit of bread out and within ten minutes had my first three victims, shot three from three shots(and just added another to the tally as I am writing).
noticed they would come around when there was only two dead but would not land after there was three there.
Got one one the pile at the moment and waiting.??
This is a piccy of the first three.
11.16am- you can add another three to that tally and a toppy pidgeon.
8 kills for 9 shots ,not bad.!!(bastard jumped as I pulled the trigger.)
the tally continues.
11:35- Add another 2 for 2 shots, this .20 cal R1 just ripps them apart.
gettin too easy have to go for head only now.
stay tuned
12:09- got the head shot ,piccy following.
Distance is about 15mtrs, its pissing down here the last hour.
more to follow.
12:19-just got another but hit in the base of neck.(bastards wont sit still.)
more to follow.
01:24- just got another but hit him up the arse as he would not sit still the little shit.
Its unusual only the one pidgeon has come in and no other pest bird .
Not a bad tally for the morning just sitting at the computer with the gun resting on a big cushion pointing out the door waiting for them to arrive.
Must do some work now.
Bye
Regards
Damien webb.

Try standing them up ,with a nail or some wire , i used to do it a while ago , but i had to set them up on the to of the fence ,as the dog would try and eat them ??? ,
I also leave a golf ball lying around , as they make a good target , and when you hit them , they skittle off , and make a it a new target at a differant range ,(that if you grass is good )
Do like the head shot , think i have one floating around some where , much the same ,bread stuck in mouth

Re:
Be careful of the golf ball as I have heard of more then one person getting hit in the head when the pellet came back.HAIR BEAR wrote:Try standing them up ,with a nail or some wire , i used to do it a while ago , but i had to set them up on the to of the fence ,as the dog would try and eat them ??? ,

If you can bag a starling, prop him up as a decoy - others find it irresistible.
