.22 BR feeding issues

Hi all hoping for some help I'm trying to get my .22 BR feeding from my magazine it's a tikka lsa 55 is there any way I can get it modified by a gun smith the magazine was a 22-250 before it was changed thanks

Pretty sure the lips need to be extended by around 10mm

I think that Kickenback might just have your problem covered with them flipping up and out before fully feeding, someone competent with a mig could add some extensions on the front of the feed lips and then polish back to a smooth finish. You could also look at lowering the front of the magazine to stop them hanging up, make sure your magazine spring has plenty of tension on it to help hold the front of the cartridge up.

Bruce, B4408, is, I believe, making either a 6BR or 22BR on a M55 action, he is a cunning little bugger and has probably already figured an easy way to ensure correct feeding.

My 22/250 mag has a spacer block at the front. May make a difference?
Haven't converted mine yet but they say they feed no worries. Will have to make a dummy round to try.

Talked to a guy who uses a T3 using the steel lipped 223 mags and it feeds perfect for 6BR. He had also used an M55 for a 6BR based custom.

Does it behave differently depending on number of rounds in the mag. Maybe top case is sliding down neck of case below and kicking up or something similar.
