Finished the rubbing and put it back together this morning. Family shot with the Brno .22

Went out the back and rezeroed at 60m so U could check the .23 as well. Got this 3 shot group:

Three clicks up and I’m good to go!

While I had the barrelled action out of the stock I shimmed the jard trigger - it used to have a fair bit of side to side slop, but some carefully drilled and cut beer can and some Tarzan’s Grip and it is solid as a rock, but still nice and crisp with no drag.

It works fine. I certainly noticed the wax content - even though you said that you don't need much it's quite likely I was still using a bit too much at times, and I wa setting that tacky waxy feeling. I ended up finishing the stock off using Organoil as I felt that I could get a nice heat going a lot quicker with the thinner oil.

It was wet yesterday so I slipped the Ruger out of its stock and gave it some of Missed’s wax being mindful of using a very small amount- very happy with the results
