Don't think you be unhappy with it Rob , however I'll be interested to hear how much fun you have in zeroing it. I have one also but it's mainly been used so far for seeing what's out there in the paddock & is yet to be mounted on a rifle. Bit short on rifles atm

Going to be a big learning curve I know that much.barryb wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 6:19 amDon't think you be unhappy with it Rob , however I'll be interested to hear how much fun you have in zeroing it. It's funny how it works, you always seem to be that one rifle short.
Re: Pulsar XQ 50 thermal
Simple learning curve. Go to chemist and get a couple of hand warmers and set it out to a 100. Then check it at 200. The flattest shooting combination you can work with is the best option as it takes out the range guess work. Unless you have something near to the animal to see perspective, range estimation is very hard. In an open clear paddock it is nearly impossible and why i said that i would like to see a proper range finder in these units. Don't need GPS or other useless crap like bluetooth etc.
