Anyone tried these exotic 12g shells?

Anyone ever tried these fancy birdscare rounds? Not cheap but look like they would be effective at scaring birds as say midnight on the 31st December

Yeah used them years ago with cadets (with not "at")
Works pretty well - a "sparkly" trail and then apop and a bang - plenty of fun for all the family!

Used to use the "Bird Fright" shells, to scare fruit bats.

The rescue boats I used to crew used a similar thing, that had a rimmed shouldered brass case (Looked a bit like a smaller .303 case) and a firing device that looked like a pen, as signal flares.

They were a bit of a failure. The cases weren't waterproof and on the odd one that did work the signal flare was so small it looked like you were a million miles away.

Looks like fun, don't know that I'd use it in the dry bush though, like Raven said seems like a good way to set things on fire.
