Went in to Lgs today to get 2209, bread and butter powder. None in stock, 640 on back order, ADI not supplying. NIOA have apparently been delisted, poor performance, not surprising since anything they touch doubles in price, look at Lapua brass for example. Winchester now handle, and say they will be increasing to at least $60 per 500g, and getting rid of 4 kg, as they take too much space.
We are being thoroughly ripped off, bastards.
Jeff
So the price of ADI went up because Nioa were one of a number of distributors but now that they are no longer a distributor the price is increasing and the product line shrinking.
Like 99.9% of small players in the industry I do not have an account with Winchester or access to their products. When I last did have a backdoor access the price of Winchester powders was more than double the price of ADI or Alliant through Nioa.
It's all very easy to blame the distributor for price increases, but if you knew what the buying price to the trade was I think you would find that the huge mark ups might be happening somewhere else.
We've got it....you want it...you will pay our price for it.

is powder easier to get nsw than up here ?
I havent been to a shop in NSW which didnt have the ADI powder I was after. I recently ordered a few different Alliant powders from 2 local shops and they both got them in within 2 weeks.
G'Day all,
the VRA shop in Bendigo has ADI 500gm powder in stock, check out the latest website update. Open Tues and Wednesdays, also open next Sunday (check opening hours) if your interested.
Cheers Ned
