Well its been a long time coming but i just ordered a 7mm Remington Magnum in Tikka T3x varmint today .
Probably more gun than i need but I'm looking forward to it ( not sure if my shoulder feels the same).

Your shoulder will be fine. I know where there’s a 7mm Wby reamer you could put through it.Shep25 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 26, 2018 7:02 pmWell its been a long time coming but i just ordered a 7mm Remington Magnum in Tikka T3x varmint today .

Norma cases would be a good choice but Remington would also be good choice.

Thanks mate, i was wondering what brass would be best depending on availability.
Your one step ahead of me.
Now just need to find some.
Cheers Bob

No worries Bob. If you can’t get once fired then Magnum Sports would be a good place to start for Norma. You should be able to check online at a few different gun shops around the country and see what’s available and prices.

Shep,
270 will work well at 1000 yd. I used one competitively with 135 Smk, 62gr AR2217, with 210M primer. Regularly shot 8" groups at 1000yd against AJR and Tony Z.
I never had anything walk away from a 140gr Sierra Game King, they just wreck whatever they hit.

This post was a while ago and i now have a 7mm Remington magnum due to arrive any day now.
That said i have had great success with Sierra projectiles in my 204 and plan to try them in the 7mm.
Thanks Bob
