Powder prices are getting rediculous.
After reading Tony is paying $57 for Rl26 (which I think is reasonable)
I was quoted $85 for a tub of R15 today.
What are you paying?

Re: Powder prices are getting rediculous.
IF we had a delivery service that didnt involve winchester,i would be paying $43 for a 500g tub[2208].
but since winchester has 1 truck to deliver powder to all of qld, powder shortages are the norm recently.

Re: Powder prices are getting rediculous.
here in Sydney reloader 15 etc is $70 for 500grm and $55 for 500grms or AR 2209 BUT QLD which is further from ADI is $50 ,,must be the distributor's shipping chargers as they are in that state..
When I first started buying 2206 it was $12 for 500grms !!!!!!!!!!! then as soon as the distributor took over sales to the shops it went to $19 over night. and every 6 months it seems to go up another $5

ADI stuff runs $60 per tub in VIC, but I can buy it for $48 in NSW.
Guess who's going to NSW tomorrow and will be bringing some back?

Prices vary massively in different areas BM2 in Griffith is 129.00 per kg other ADI powders are 60 per kg, I got 4kg 2207 at 45.00 per 500gm out of Vic last weekend, guess it pays to buy in bulk when you can

Re: Powder prices are getting rediculous.
Mick it was $65 for a canister of Reloder for a while until recently. NIOA has taken shipment of enough Alliant powder for a 2 year stock now that they have cleared their old ADI stock. I suspect this is a price war for whatever reason. At $54 a canister another of our long range shooters bought every canister of Re23 in one shop. I bought Re15, 16, 17 and 26. All the shops here have good stock of both plus Winchester. Prices vary between them a little but all have stated ADI is about to rise again due to ridiculous transport costs.
The writing is on the wall, future reps will have truck licences and deliver to gun shops. There is no other way to beat the gouging by transport groups. The bigger problem here is that NIOA cannot or will not ship Alliant to Victoria because of shipment costs and restrictions. Lots of dollars for fuck all stock. The transport mob claim safety issues. Of course. Yet the motor from the rig that exploded out western Qld way a few years back has yet to land. It's sailing along with the bridge section headed to Saturn. Truck was carrying tons of fertilizer. Powder is safer. Fuel is more dangerous.

Re: Powder prices are getting rediculous.
Mick we are in Narromine in a few weeks for the 600 and 1000 nationals. $230 for 5 pound canister or $54 for a pound of Re15 from Townsville Gun Shop. We can get it to Narromine with us. From there? If Jack was coming he could moonshine it across the boarder but I'm pretty sure Jack won't get there this year. But el Jacquo will be there.
