She is beautiful! I love how it feels to snug into my shoulder. Barely a kick. And it sounds great.

I love it I love it I love it ImageImageImageImageImageImage

I had to come back up to the house to get ready for milking, Shaun is finishing sighting it in properly before we lose the sunlight (it gets dark quick in winter down here)

Had a shot or two on the .22mag also, she does not like the s&b ammo - it jams on extraction. Seems to much prefer the red tipped hornady rounds.

We are just using orange & black crow targets at roughly 100yards to sight them in, will possibly be able to go down the range on Saturday next weekend for some real "bench & target"

So good 8) 8) . It's a really nice looking rifle and that old Leupold looks like it was designed it for it.

Look forward to hearing more.

Both guns look much better in the light!

You'll be reloading before you know it.

Get the gorilla ladder and plywood and you won’t have to pay range fees ever again!

Ha. Had the fuzz show up yesterday, told shaun to stop shooting, because "people in town can hear" and the asshole neighbours across the river had complained.

Not entirely sure where to go from here.

Not sure on tas but in nsw if you are zoned rural and not shooting targets there is nothing they can do.
Good arguement for a suppressor though

Should add as long as you have sufficient back drop foot print whatever.

We were shooting targets - to sight in. Image

We might just have to shoot cats every night for the next week at 3am though.

So I took the girls out today and what a glorious day. It was warm, absolutely no wind and I had a borrowed of some bench rest gear and a. Spotting scope from the club.

surprisingly the 22wmr performed rather well seems to like CCI 40grain hp.
I won't go with about this too much other than I think it will be a good working rifle for the farm. And a good buy.

The 22-250 had its moments and seemed be Ok with the old sako ammo, but It seemed to have gummed up the barrel pretty quick and yet with how it shoots atm I'd be happy to go out the paddock with it (after a good cleaning) to bust furry critters, I wouldnt be 100% confident that I could smack one in the brain pan like I could with Remmy. But I expect that to change very quickly once we work on a reload. I will say how ever that this rifle is an absolute pleasure to handle, everything is just solid yet exceptional smooth and comfortable.

Photo 1
First shot with the 22-250 at 50M

Photo 2
At 100m 2 shots to the top right made adjustment then the other 2 on the diagonal.

Photo 3
22wmr (leaving out my 25m sight card not shown) pretty much speaks for itself ImageImageImage

Nothing wrong with that .22 wmr at all.

I agree that reloading should be able to unlock the potential for the .22-250, but you may find that a different factory load may also show an improvement too.

Snazzy shirt/blue tie combo too.

Hey Keachie and Dunderi - Any updates on the results of the reloading for the .223 and the .22-250?
