Good to see the difference. A picture tells a thousand words!
Just wondering wardy, does yours look similar?
By all accounts, it's suppose to be more efficient than the saum parent case. According to R Sherman, the same velocity can be obtained with less powder used in his case design.
Have I got an ich, might have! I'm always interested in wildcats that are efficient (or not) but do like to try something different. Time will tell.
Thanks everyone for your input.
Yeah mate very close but I’ve retained a 35 degree shoulder. I’ll get some photos next to a standard saum later on this week for comparison.

I’m running them in a 9 twist with no worries.

Ok wardy,
any idea of what velocity your getting with which projectile?
Powder used?
Don't have to provide loads but just interested to see how they compare to the 7mm/300wsm.

With 180’s it will do up to 3000 with 2217. Faster powders have reduced that to somewhere around 2900. I’m using around 2-3grains less than the parent case. Have a look on long range hunting on the thread for saum wildcat and it’s called 7mm GT. Case is very close to mine but I used wsm dimensions so I could cut off the shelf dies back and load away.

I’m not even running my RSAUM at 3000fps with 180’s. Found an accuracy load around 2880fps and stopped development.

Around 2970 works well for me.

I haven't shot any 180's through mine so can't compare.
But sounds like you've got a very nice setup wardy.
Thanks for sharing that info and I will check out that site for the 7mmGT.
Cheers

Im glad you didnt drop me in it about being next to you and suggesting one click to the right, which then gave the only shot outside the X ring. I wouldve been a pretty respectable group without my "help"

Anyone hear of them or know of anyone that has one chambered.
Sounds like something Rod Davies would know about.

I like the SAUM case, but for target work would only be interested in the 7mm version (or maybe 270 version with new Berger bullets if i was at a range with ballistics limits.
For hunting though, a 6.5 SAUM would make sense.
