Tikka trigger springs

Post by Brad Y »

Looking to try one of the aftermarket springs for a tikka t3 trigger. I see the YoDave ones quite well regarded, but there is another one from eBay called gunbloke who is already in Aus. Can anyone share experience from either of these springs? Looking to get it down to about 500gr, without having to fork out for a new Barnard Tikka trigger.

Brad, Kickenback does some pretty flash work with McTikka triggers, or so he tells me.

Don’t bother with the springs Brad. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

Brad I've had a Barnard trigger on one of the earlier master sporters that Keith hills did for me and I've shot with a fella who had kicken do his t3 trigger.
Kickens trigger job is fantastic and I shot this fellas t3 before and after
The problem is if you really want Barnard performance then if your anything like me you will never be happy with any thing less , but in saying that one is $450 the other $60 I think
Kickens trigger is fantastic as said though and if you had never used a Barnard or Jewel you would be happy forever

That reminds me to PM Kickin about sorting the triggers on my Ruger and Browning...

Cheers fellas.

Yeah used jewel, Barnard, kelbly and most recently a bix n Andy. I know it’s not going to be in those leagues (kelbly and bix were sweet!) but so long as it’s fairly crisp around 500gr then I can make do.

It won’t be crisp. As soon as you change the spring you will notice the creep, especially since you have used the best triggers available.
