Well the rear tang bedding was ripped out last night as it hadn’t hardened properly. Apparently 8 years is past the use by date for devcon. New devcon now in place.

So is the go with Howas to bed the tang? I know the savages seem to like them free floating.

I bedded underneath Ryan. I’ll se how it goes as I have no experience with howas as yet. The trigger is the next thing on the list.

Rightio. Finally got to shoot this today. Started with some 80gr vld hobbies pushed along by 30gr of 2209 for a very relaxed 2700fps and finished at 36.5gr for 3226fps. No signs of pressure. I will be trying 2213sc and 2217 as well.

Had a working bee at the range yesty and afterwards finally got to do some more load development. Shooting five shot groups with .5 grain increases per group all vertical disappeared at 37.5gr of 2213sc pushing a 69gr Sierra HPBT. Very happy with the result.

Bugger, nothing worse than a blat fattery. :lol: I shot a heap of those Sierras through a mini 14 back in the 80's they were good medicine for pigs and goats. :D
