True but the Howa is a pretty good deal.
Good to see you back, I was wondering where you two had gone.
Are you busy pedalling to charge your batteries, I hear the Basslink cable has been ferked again?

Our Ned Kelly will be making me a lightweight wild dog style LA-TA2 stock.lee_enfield223 wrote:great price,,but I don't like the stock design ,, but it would probably be quite good, for hunting. almost forgot it should be quite ridged with it's alloy bedding.

When you get it. make sure you give us a report on how it shoots, I am genuinely interested. A fellow club member recently got the 26" barrel version in 308, and it just wouldn't shoot.
BTW, I have an F-Class rife on a Howa, so I know the action can shoot, and shoot well

WELCOME.
it won’t be shot as a creedmoor. Due to certain comments made by myself in the past my credibility would be less than Steve Smiths if I did. It will be getting a reamer shoved in straight after it’s arrival.

What reamer are you planning on 260? If it were me and I was going to rechamber it, I wouldn't waste the money rechambering the factory barrel and go straight for a new match tube.
I would have been very interested to see how the creedmore shot though
Cheers

Re: I’m buying a creamoore
G'day All,
yes I've got a pattern for this one. Also a Manners T4...but I like the WD TH and it can easily be turned in to a Lefty or ambidextrous because I am a Lefty....a VERY important consideration often ignored by stock makers is the ability to offer flexibility in the design of a stock.
Even My RH stocks are ambidextrous and I've been know to fit a LH stock onto RH actions....because I had to for one of my rifles. Hows the 20VT going Kicken?
In fact the only important issue with any stock is finding the RIGHT grip set up for the client, everything else ( forend style, Butt design and LOP etc are fairly simple to modify to suit. Hardly any of the stocks I've made have been absolutely true to the pattern
Hope this helps.

Re: I’m buying a creamoore
Glen I have convinced Keith that he needs to give that braked 308 the ass as a spotlighting rifle. You could practice with your reamer and sell the barrel to Keith and then get a proper aftermarket barrel?Target wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 7:54 pmHI, yep first time post, I lurk here on occasions.kickinback wrote: ↑Fri Mar 30, 2018 7:28 amHi Adrian.
