Show us your Air rifle ballistic charts for FT

Post by Ziel01 »

Hi fellow air heads,

I'm trying to find examples of a good ballistic chart showing incline also.
Can anyone show me what you have done?
The image below only shows vertical. I'd like something that also has angle to target.

www.airguns.net/trajectory.php

Basically Google, but wanted a more advanced version with an angle calculator, so you map out your trajectory from horizontal using a target and a Chrony as per the website:
https://aussiehunter.org/shooting/air-r ... allistics/

But then use some velocity/trigonometry/kinetic energy/potential energy equation to miraculously calculate what the trajectory would be if you were shooting up hill or down hill.

Perhaps I will just have to do it the old fashioned way and measure it in the field?

Thanks for the responses.

Chairgun looks to be a good thing.
Ballistic AE only works if you are running IOS, which I'm not, but it looks like a pretty great program.

I have chairgun on the app on my android and on my pc (win10) with some fiddling I used it to make turret label etc for nationals a few years back as I could only test to 20m before hand. While not perfect got me on target pretty quick and went okay in the end :) Can't beat just laying out targets to shoot and record but sometime you don't have the means or time.

Laying out the targets is OK. You are right though, time is the killer. Also setting up elevation is a bit tricky, as any measurements you made at horizontal then have to be performed again, but at the angle.
I was hoping to find a magic formula that would be able to calculate the trajectory if you knew the horizontal (Hey, gravity doesn't change!!) and were able to estimate the angle to the target. This would then give you your scope clicks or hold over/under aim point/MOA at that distance.

With FT, do the rules allow you to run a cosine indicator?
