The HW97KT mate. Already tuned with a Vortek kit plus it has a TTI piston that has been buttoned with delrin. I know it's very techy Andrew but that'll be the one I'd go for.
Will perform much better than the blue. The HW80 is way over powered. Gavin's shrouded hw100 went a while ago. He just way too busy to take the advert off. The other 100 is just a stock standard unit.
Most importantly, MattW knows the seller of the 97kt.
He has four guns up for sale atm on usedguns.
Beeman is a good buy if you can have it tuned and can easily get 20 cal pellets.
if I were on the market for a pcp, the BSA Hornet at the top of the AR section would be the one I'd get. BSA, cold hammer forged barrel, regulated, I still rate it as one of the best pcp ever made........... without the hype.
Andrew mine you handled at Canberra a year or so ago at nationals is a 97k...but not thumbhole and not tuned as nice as this one sounds like it is. Sounds like a very nice rig.

Going on what Ryan is suggesting; we probably have crossed paths at the same Nats.

I can vouch for the Hornet first hand Missed. I love mine.....
.... but if you don't want to stuff around with a dive bottle, the 97KT sounds the go.
I'ld go for a springer first, the 97KT and then if you like using an AR move upto a pcp. A bit of extra cost setting up for the first pcp with a tank etc.
Really happy with my HW100 but I had put a couple of thousand pellets through my Gamo CFX plinking first. Like watching the pellet in flight and hitting the target with the HW100.
Nice Airarms 510 on usedguns as well. Lots of nice PCPs out there.
Having had an HW50 that Lewis had tuned I think I would go with what I know as in brand. And yes theblue one was disregarded immediately because of the stock
As I have a bit on at the moment I was looking for a future purchase as was more wondering why you would pick say the 97 over the 80 or the R9
A PCP is on the bucket list but way down
Somewhere
Come to Majura on first weekend so that Druid, Matt, Stones and I can lure you on to the Dark Side by letting you play with our PCPs.
Or maybe that long awaited coffee.
but seriously, that 97 is the way to go.
You have some good choices there. I would have to say the thumbhole 97KT.
Great springer fixed barrel accuracy with upgraded internals sounds like a winner to me for your first.
If you get into pcps do your homework on the charging gear or it can take the fun out of it.
I have a deposit on my 100 but it’s been a slow process. Have others interested
If it falls through.
The R9 is another classic springer and 20 cal is well suited for springers.
That would of come from Lewis so it might have a Maccari kit installed.
Just like baby blue was Gavin. ok, so it was my third. I would have to rate the HW77 (1983) that I customised to be on top of the pile of ALL the springers I've shot.
