Good stuff Albow, another video when it is finished please. Hope you get the repeatability and consistency that you accuracy freaks need.
I will have to find out more about Arduino circuits, details on the components and circuit would be handy to know.

Got the whole circuit running today with the interrupter working so that when you broke the IR beam it would stop the motor running. I have the circuit made that you just press a button to start it again when you want the next trickle to start. It will also have a button as a manual over ride that it will just manually trickle powder.
Did a bit of research last night on the old Google thingy and made a different body for the trickler this arvo. It has the motor out front and the body part is far smaller. This has made the mass lower for the body which is letting it vibrate a lot more..... in fact too much so have had to drop the motor voltage back to 3 volts otherwise it flings powder everywhere
Next change might be to get the next size tube from the hobby shop to let it flow better with the larger powder like 2217.
Hey Kickin was the issue you had the mass was too much to get any vibration in the trickler or the tube size?
I am thinking that i might go back to the original trickler body and move the motor to the front closer to the tube and also see if the next size tube will let the powder flow better.
What motor are you using for your unit and what photo interrupter?
I'm using this interrupter and motor......... and note the description of for the motor is a classic
G’day allow. I used a rotary vibration motor that was 6mm diameter and 14mm long. Mass was way too much so I have gone to a stepper motor and drive to rotate the tube instead of vibrating it. When I get back from Sydney on the 24th I’ll be finishing all of what I started earlier in the year.
Hey Stink I missed your question earlier. Scales will be my 10-10’s.
Looking to go back to beams after my digital scales were floating by a couple of tenths so was not giving me the best results. I have to say since going back to my beams the vertical has definitely improved at 1000yd.
