HW100

Post by B4408 »

I picked up this HW100 second hand from WA. The stars finally aligned and I got my hands on it yesterday. Took about 11 weeks from first seeing it advertised and negotiating with the seller and registering etc. no big dramas but just dragged out.
So here are a couple of pics to start. Has a little bit of air left which will be enough if the local rabbit comes around the garden this evening :hunting: Fitted a Nikon 3-9x40 EFR on it. Have a dive cylinder waiting to be picked up at Forster, which has just been tested. :D

Hi Gary, you were the start of this after your invites to try a few pcps. When you see Victor tell him I liked his so much I bought one. Its a 22 and shoots H&N barracuda 18gn very well, these were recommended by the seller.

So just caught up with a rabbit that has been hanging around, wife said "about time". Not as loud as I expected, a lot quieter than 22LR quiets.

Good one Bruce.
I have only shot H&N as badgered Beeman and they are good. I seemed to be able to get JSBs easier and they are another good pellet.
Comes down to what you can get of what shoots the best.

Daisy, the seller gave me 6 tins of different pellets that he tried. So will give them a run.
I use JSB in the .17, will look for something economical for plinking.
This will be good fun over the Xmas break.

Good buy Bruce. BTW, that anvil will do the same job if you could get close enough. :p

The Wiehrauch has a bit of weight but the anvil is a 110 pounder. Easy to workout holdover, trajectory is straight down.

That looks a lot like one of those African 'caged hunt' things. Round up bunnies behind fences and shooting them. Oh the horror

The rifle looks very nice.

Oh, I thought the anvil was a new type of shooting rest or a new mono-pod thingy.

Did some testing with the pellets that came eith the rifle. Shows you need to test and can not presume the same weight will work.
Will get some JSB Exact Heavy to try. Need an economicsl plinker that is accurate.

Yep you missed out.

It took a while to get delivered but the process was easy just had to wait for all the stars to align. Seller was good to deal with.
