An oldie, but a goodie
Walked in this morning to find this new aqisition. Made in 1972 it’s in excellent condition, coming with an intergrated lube system, full set of collets, bar feeder, a pneumatic chuck, die boxes etc etc etc etc.
And to think I was contemplating making solid copper projectiles!

That's an impressive piece of equipment to have at your disposal.
Alas, it would be wasted on someone like me...

I used to know a bloke who hung around the workshops at a local TAFE awaiting the replacement of the lathes and mills. He had quite a business buy near new equipment (barely 5 years old - minimal use) on the cheap and reselling it later. He also had a very well equipped garage for making PTO's.
I recall him buying a stack of 5 year old Colchesters for about the same money as yours. However, they weren't as well equipped as that one!

Campbelltown tafe is closing down and relocating(I think to Weatherill Park) and although some of there equipment is quite ok you would really want to know which machine you were purchasing before bidding. The Raven wrote:That's pretty much as steal!kickinback wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2017 6:15 pm Oh, forgot to add, $2500

So anything with your initials scratched into it is probably work skipping?DSD wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2017 4:21 pmCampbelltown tafe is closing down and relocating(I think to Weatherill Park) and although some of there equipment is quite ok you would really want to know which machine you were purchasing before bidding. The Raven wrote:That's pretty much as steal!kickinback wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2017 6:15 pm Oh, forgot to add, $2500
