Great work and some nice machining.

Funny how timely this project is as I was pulling my Harrell apart yesterday to start measuring. I'm initially going to make a scaled down culver measure to fit my existing Harrell (I currently have the BR model) as I want it to be able to throw small charges like the Schuetzen model. Then I'll fabricate a second body to house the second measure permanently.

I'll keep watching. Thanks.

Did a nudge interrupt this?

It would be a days entertainment for a cheesecake just watching rectangular lumps of metal turn into something

I’m on the lathe and mill most days when I’m in the workshop. I hate it. Then I get home and do my own stuff and love it. Go figure.

Looks alright, did the extra weight on the beam make much of a difference when zeroing the scales ? :?

Nothing is touching the scales. A light sensor straddles the beam.

Good one Kickin.
What do you think gives any inconsistensies, scales or light beam? Is it enough to matter?
How do they tune beam scales?

I think the technical term is 'cheesecake'.
