Great work and some nice machining.

Funny how timely this project is as I was pulling my Harrell apart yesterday to start measuring. I'm initially going to make a scaled down culver measure to fit my existing Harrell (I currently have the BR model) as I want it to be able to throw small charges like the Schuetzen model. Then I'll fabricate a second body to house the second measure permanently.

looks great so far and those bearings at each end will make it smooth!!!! the only thing you will feel is it cutting the powder grains !!

I was doing a lathe turning job for a friend and after 2 hours he got board and left !!!! and I told him that it would take 4 hours ,,, oh well at least he now knows why I don't use my lathe or mill all day

I’m on the lathe and mill most days when I’m in the workshop. I hate it. Then I get home and do my own stuff and love it. Go figure.

Nothing is touching the scales. A light sensor straddles the beam.

What do you think gives any inconsistensies, scales or light beam? Is it enough to matter?
How do they tune beam scales?
