The old buzzard doesnt reckon two piece mounts are good enough, me I would just use something like them, its only on a bloody 222 for christ sake. Guess Ill keep looking and will get around to taking some measurements or comparing those already given.

Yep, them 222 recoils are hell on scopes n rings.

Bridge mounts are two piece, three if you include the base. There is no stronger setup than the dovetail ringmounts from Optiloc like pictured or Warne.

For what its worth I have had leupold base and rings on my t3 308 ...been great
And were less than half the price of optilock base and rings
