Tikka T3 question

Post by Camel »

Had a request today to try and find a steel bridge mount for a Tikka T3 222, no interest in pickatinny rail type set up. Anyone know if something is available ? Could you also give me the dovetail measurements of one of them, widest and narrowest would be good. Thanks

Dovetail quick and rough.
About 15 mm at the narrow part in the bottom of the grooves and 16.5 mm at the wide part at the top of the dovetail.

Let me have a look in the parts box tonight - I reckon I picked up a Hillver type bridge mount that might be the right size.

Ummmmmm, there's nothing to bridge on a T3 as it has a solid top.

That one looks like an old Hilliver Tikka 55 mount
The Tikka 55 action is a bit shorter than a T3.. but it may fit ok.

So that means the dovetail is a seperate piece that screws onto the top of the action ?? :?

Dovetail is milled in, not screwed on. The action is also drilled and tapped.
