Pretty damn sure from consulting google images that the rear base is the wrong way round. And the zeiss is shorter than the sightron and doesn't fit

Think they are loopy. No pretty sure actually. The turn in rings. Ineed to turn that base around to bring the rings closer to mount the scope

So can you swap them or turn them around? I have similar issue with the long action stevens. Although not a Zeiss lol

it was coming with me to get a trigger job when I visit Luke. Now unscrewing the bases with glued in screws is on the list

Trev-- to get the lock tight screws loose just get your "wrench' on the screw and heat with a torch. It will soften the glue nicely.
