25-06 load suggestions
I'm acquiring a new savage in 25-06 and Not looking for high speeds but rather good load/s that will get me out to say 3- 400 yards on the small vermin up to and including goats and pigs and if the opportunity should arise a fallow/red.

Re: 25-06 load suggestions
PM me your address and Ill send you up some projectiles, only 100 gainers but they will do both varmints and medium game, they are some that I have left over from my tests in the 25 Camel.
Gary runs a 25-06, I am sure he will have plenty of loads that work both light and heavy projectiles.

Re: 25-06 load suggestions
Not totally sure I'll have to go do a little digging into the cabinet tomorrow, but from memory I'm sure there's 2225, 2209 and 2217 in there. Considering a bottle of 2213sc. ....why's that?
Thanks very muchly kind sir.
Gotcha texts and the closest I could get to a gnome image was the damn matic pic!

So we know what loads to suggest. No point suggesting it if you ain't got it.Gnome wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2017 7:19 pmNot totally sure I'll have to go do a little digging into the cabinet tomorrow, but from memory I'm sure there's 2225, 2209 and 2217 in there. Re: 25-06 load suggestions
Out of the powders you have available, 2209 is the pick, will be good for most projectiles, especially those on the lighter side, now if you have a nice long barrel and are going to run heavies, say 120gn or there abouts, 2213sc would be a good choice. Me, I would just stick with 2209, a very versatile powder.

Re: 25-06 load suggestions
Hey Chris, Did the SIL ever screw that barrel into an action?
I have 2213sc if you want to try some before you buy, I run it in the AI swede.
