I've got one of these to get on with, too. Off a hound hunter's rifle, that I picked up for cheap, with a rooted barrel.

This one's going to need the checkering re-cut, so I'll do a build thread on constructing a checkering cradle from waterpipe and fittings soonish.

The remaining finish is a very tough DuPont epoxy, so that might take some getting off. Yep, this one's a lefty; Rem 700BDL LH, now wearing a new TSE .338 Win Mag barrel.
