Canberra Field Target shoot -June

Post by grmkc »

Just received this info from Darius. The May shoot which was originally cancelled is now back midday 6/5/17 at Majura.

The June FT event is scheduled for Sunday 4th June. The plan will be to setup the range on Saturday, so it may be possible to have 2 rounds on the Sunday. The format will be NO sighting on the range, so come prepared, then shoot 1st round, break for lunch, reset the range to the alternate pegs (which should take about 1 to 1.5hrs), then shoot round 2, then pack-up before dark, which will be around 4pm, or earlier if it is overcast.

This tactic is to lure the Victorians & others into coming to Canberra on a regular basis, & giving them a taste of what they are missing out on...

BTW, anyone planning a trip to Canberra in June should remember that it will be winter, so come prepared. Anyone camping is advised to contact me.

Good shooting till next time.

That is why a nice insulating FT bean bag is needed :)

The later traite (no brain) goes equally well with good comp shooting (allegedly).

I should have pointed out for those who don't have a FT seat / bag, I got mine from Matt W and I really like it.

For those who are need of a bag give him a PM

When mines not getting used my dogs usually curled up on it on the loungeroom floor, she is not happy when I take it either

What's with the photo of my arse end JD? Oooh. That 6kgs I lost sure looks good. LOL.

Couldn't ask for more than a Sunny Canberra day with mid teens teperature and very little breeze. Great day shooting with some very impressive results. Hmmmm. Only two springers in the comp. So I won that section then...........

Thanks to the Canberra Air Rifle Club for organising their monthly shoots.
