Ok it's been a long time coming but I have finally built my 7mm saum on a new Winchester 300wsm action .
Now load testing starts
So my question is what's everyone's favourite preferred powder for the 7mm saum with 150gn bullets with a 26in barrel
Cheers

Re: 7mm saum
Hi mate. I don't own a saum, but a very good mate has one built for F class and through use, has ruined a few barrels. He runs 2217 and 2209 with a 180gr pill. I would start by looking at ADIs figures and pick the powder that has the highest case density for the fastest speed and the lowest pressure. I usually start 2gr off max and work up from there is 1/2gr increments.

Re: 7mm saum
The only mention of a SAUM I have seen on the Forum was by Adamjp and that was a 6.5.
Should be a handy sort of cartridge though.

I've got one but I only use 180gr projies so I can't help anymore than opening a reloading manual.

Re: 7mm saum
2209 and 2213 would be the first choices for me.

Re: 7mm saum
2209 or Re17 if you can get it. Both would be within a bees dick of each other in terms of best speed. 2213sc comes a close 3rd.
