Teepee don't want to try something, find they work and then not be able to source them!

Yeah, fair enough.
The 55's will be good.what are you using them in?
And what Velocity are you hoping for.

Hi Trevor
Who's making the 50gn projectiles?
I've been talking to Ken from Copperhead since 2014 and in march was going to have some ready by mid April but they still haven't seen them.

A friend has 20-250AI and is ring 2209, but over 3900fps the 55gn Bergers are vapourising about 20m down range, I had a good video of it blowing up down range and you can see the cloud if you pause it at the right timeTeepee wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2017 8:32 pm Hi All,
I've been doing other things for while but always spend time to read the posts. Just don't normally get a chance to respond.
Anyway, I was reading about this cal only a few days ago. It always jumps out at me when I see someone shooting the 20/250. In this case the Ai version.
I seem to recall I was getting around the 3700 mark with the 55's. Can't remember what the load was but that was just in the ordinary case, not the ackley improved. Getting close 3900 with the 50's. Very accurate and without doubt the best thing I've ever had. Not pushing it hard by the way. Got to love the big case 20's.
Cheers

Yeah, I had heard that they would blow up if pushed too hard. Haven't had any issues with mine as yet but then again I'm not trying to get warp speed out of them. If they do head south, I can always drop back to the 45g hornady. They've tested really good through it.
I'm using a 1/9 twist for mine but it handles the 40's up to the 55's with no issues.
Good luck with yours trevort.
