Lee RGB dies will work fine, whilst not the "best" or "snobbishly acceptable" will get the job done.

You can always upgrade in the future if you think you need to.

Yep and if your rifle is a shooter and you use lee dies when that group at the range smacks the expensive stuff next too you you will have a big smile :-)

It's not just the extra $40 - he was talking about how they seem a bit less breakable.

Apparently the pin will eject if under too much pressure, rather than simply snapping?

I'm not sure I want to ask how that bit of info came to be known.

I've got one set of Lee RGB dies for the 22-250 and the rest are either RCBS, Redding or Hornady.
The Lee dies do the job admirably. Have never snapped a de-priming pin (touch wood).

The Lee dies do hold the decamping pin by a collet, which is designed to slip rather than break the pin. I think you'd notice a problem well before breaking the pin anyway.

I believe pins for most brands of dies are relatively cheap so it probably isn't a major concern.

I use a separate decapping die and clean all my cases before going into "proper" dies where all the pins have been removed, but that's another topic. I have managed to break the pin on that one at least twice over the last ten years so have a spare on hand at all times

I'm just about (in the next couple of months) to replace all the brass for my 6/250. Its been fired so many times I've lost count but I'm happy to size it back to 22 anneal it and post it over to you. You should get a few more firings out of it, its a mixture of nosler custom and norma (thought I did read somewhere that norma made the brass for nosler)
