.20-250 AI with 55gn Bergers
Great looking case:
The builder was a bit disappointed that velocities topped out at around 3700-3800 fps.

Hasn't tried 2208, I would have thought that was the first powder to try.

I could run up to 4000fps with 55gr bts with 2208 in a slower twist barrel.
But best accuracy was at 3720fps.
It shot 52gr amax at 3800 for best accuracy. Would run up over 4000 but not as tight a groups.
Cheers

I was just shown how to make the font on my iPhone bigger. Getting older isn't fun but it beats the shit out of the alternative. Step son was just getting ready to seal the new concrete he laid for us when he got the call his dad was on the way to the hospital in an ambulance with chest pain. Hope he's ok.

Nearly lost my older brother to a heart attack last year. Scary when you get a call like that. Hope the boys dad is okay.trevort wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2017 3:07 pm I was just shown how to make the font on my iPhone bigger. Getting older isn't fun but it beats the shit out of the alternative. Re: .20-250 AI with 55gn Bergers
Hi All,
I've been doing other things for while but always spend time to read the posts. Just don't normally get a chance to respond.
Anyway, I was reading about this cal only a few days ago. It always jumps out at me when I see someone shooting the 20/250. In this case the Ai version.
I seem to recall I was getting around the 3700 mark with the 55's. Can't remember what the load was but that was just in the ordinary case, not the ackley improved. Getting close 3900 with the 50's. Very accurate and without doubt the best thing I've ever had. Not pushing it hard by the way. Got to love the big case 20's.
Cheers

Trevort,
The 55's will be awesome over the longer ranges. The 50's are pretty good. I only wanted mine for around the 400m mark. Could go further but that's as far as I can see at night clearly. If your interested in some 50's to try, let me know. I've still got a few lying around.

I've still got your 20x47 case sitting on the shelf. Often compare the two but I'm happy with the standard 250 case necked down. Not a lot of work to make and easy to use in a repeater action. Tight neck, so I do have to neck turn them, but worth it.
