I reckon if your serious about glass then your either getting a nightforce comp or a march. Vortex golden eagle is getting some good reviews too. My nightforce comp shat all over my sightrons and the nightforce br and the weaver t24. Watching mirage through it is almost enjoyable but it still doesn't tell you exactly where to hold

I've got the 10-50x Sightron, its good but not even in the same league as the night force Comp.

About half the price too. I've looked through the nf comp and I still think the hensoldt is butter but again it's twice what the nf costs.DMC wrote:I've got the 10-50x Sightron, its good but not even in the same league as the night force Comp.

Yes and yestrevort wrote: Do you shoot it in 500m fly. Can you see bullet holes?
do you have an NF Br?
Have you compared them? Tracking, clarity etc?
No
We ran a br 8-32 next to a 10-60 and at 30x the sightron looked better. That was the opinion of the guy who owned both of the scopes as well.

I shouldn't be too far away. There is a training day at moe on Saturday and a mozzie shoot at little river Sunday. Should be in the office Monday.

Had a 10-50 and a couple of 8-32. I thought the 8-32 was the better scope. Have heard of more problems with the internals of 10-50. It might not suit benchrest or fly as much by the fcr reticle in the NF comp has made me a better wind reader for f open and gives me more information about sighters than a regular dot reticle

Hi All,
The 600yd. B/Rest comp. is now a goer. The rules have now been published in the N.R.A.A. S.S.R's. A good new comp that can be shot on probably all full bore rifle ranges in Australia. Just need to get benches and targets organised, and a good new shoot for every scope shooter.
Cheers,
Trevor.

Bloody good opportunity for the NRAA ranges to diversify and maintain good consistent use of the ranges!!

Moe is in the process of trying to finding some targets and as soon as we have we will start shooting it.

Will be interesting to see if Darwin and Alice Springs follow too - more use of both ranges would be a fantastic bonus.

This is good news Trev. Had a quick look over the SSRs at Jeff Hs place and all looks great. It should be noted that Jeff, DG and a bunch of others have been trying to get these rules through for a while. Special mention has to go to Bruce Scott and the crew at TMRC and NQRA for their efforts in getting this to happen against the efforts of some who were trying their utmost for it not to succeed.
