Looks in quite good nick - you should be able to massage those little compression dents out in your sleep.
What does the bore look like?
It would make a great 250 Savage (25-3000) for TYB.

Anyone want a VX III 4.5-14x40 Ao scope
Some one has done a very good bedding job and the trigger is not bad for a sporter.1 1/2 lb weight wise and has no creep but the backlash is wells bit long
