They come in 3's (7mm varmint guns)
Finally got my hands on this bargin bad boy a couple of weeks back.
Picked it up in a QGE firesale.
Sporting a newish 26 inch Allan Swan barrel in a heavier than sporting profile its a Win Mod 70 that was posted down as 7mm Rem Mag.
Needless to say when I bought it, it wasn't destined to stay a rem mag for long (although it stayed that way 4 weeks longer than I planned).
I had to chase down a reamer as the local smith had loaned his out and the loanee had snapped a flute off it.
Then came the fun task of reaming it out without going overboard and needing to chop too much off the barrel.
Needless to say Russell was very careful and it took 3 goes (taking out 10 thou on each the last two goes).
First firing after first reaming turned out an interesting hybrid Rem Mag/Wby thing.
The second pass was a bit better but still a bee's dick in it so back it went.
Third time was a charm and I'm pleased to say that it now spits out a normal 7mm Wby case.
The stock is loosing some of its coating in places and has a couple of texta parks in the comb but other than its a nice bit of timber fitted with a kick-eze recoil pad.
One day I may strip it down (or send it to the man with the magic hands) to give it some love.
Tracked down some weaver style rings from Lynx Optics for $49 and slapped a VX3i 3.5-10x40 I purchased on sale on top of it. Looks quite streamlined compared to most of my other rifles that wear on average 50mm objectives.
Have some loads done up to see how it shoots with 140 gn NBT's behind some stout loads of 2213SC.
Have also ordered some 120gn and 140gn Barnes and 162 gn Hornady ELD-X from Graf's in the USA.
Thanks for reading.

Hadn't heard of him till I bought this one. By all accounts supposed to be pretty good.
Hoping to test drive tonight after smallbore shoot.

It will be feb before I can test them and even if the work I might still not love the rifle, But I got it out last night to get the serial number and sat cycling the action and dry firing. The Zasty is starting to smooth up. I might shoot it again before doing anything rash
