its the cz. Ogre is lending me a scope so i can take it to the range sunday while waiting for mine to arrive. hopefully in a fortnight it will feature in a decent story
Gee, you blokes are a bad influence; so far you've made me want a 17HMR, a 20 Cal of some sort, a Vortex scope, a Z6 Swarovski 2-12X50 scope, and and and ......
Oh, and I want to build a Rugged #1 in 500 Nitro Express. It's already been costed (too much at present)...
Did you fit and lap the rings on the rifle before you fitted the scope trev? I find it stops ring burn on the scope tube
Dont try mounting the scope in the shed with the concrete floor just beckoning as murphy's law may be applied.
Good luck with it anyway. Thats the first step into DYI gunsmithing.
Jethro, I hope Ogre doesnt read this thread, he leant me an old 4 power scope he had and i just screwed it on.
I will ask Shane to lap the rings when I get my own. Plan to head up to Narranderra when I get back from a pending hunting trip. I have 2 weaver T36s (only one is mine) and an A5 stock to deliver so good excuse.
I got the HMR on target on Sunday but the conditions were not conducive to finding out anything conclusive about its accuracy potential or which ammo it likes best.
one thing is for certain, the trigger feels like squeezing a sponge. Looks like another rifle has to be "Clancied"
how much are they. The rifle basix replacement is $72Us from sinclair. i have a rifle basix trigger on my 6/250. excellent. I'll share the permit and postage costs if you want to get one of those. 10 0z let off, niiiccceee
