I realize this threads abit old, but I'm new so I'll add my 2c.
Shot a lot of trail boss through my 3030, got some good accuracy out of it - you gotta be spot on with your powder weights, it doesn't throw consistently , weigh each charge. I was only running around 8gn (11gn max case capacity for 3030) with 165gn cast projectiles. Primers are federal match large rifle
Trailboss is temp affected +/- 3fps / degree - Only important if you're developing a subsonic load (1050fps gives a good buffer for temp variation)
I've also used it in my .243 with 58gn vmax's that are effective on dogs
As for a .30 cal pill I've just started using these hornady 100gn short jackets that I've read are effective at low velocities- I haven't used them on any game as of yet. They're cheap to at around $30/100
