Here it is with it's pants. flower border and pink stitching to make it even more girlie. This one has a shorter thinner handle than I'd normally do. It was made for a smaller ladies or girls hand.
And It's still here waiting for a new owner.

Yes Mate I make two sizes out of old Gas bottles. A 9kg and a 4.5kg. or if you want to build one yourself I supply a kit to Gameco in Sydney of all the refractory you need to line a 9kg gas bottle forge.
All my forges are built to suit a Gameco burner.

Agree with Bimbo, hmmm, have old 9kg gas bottle, need new project to keep me occupied when not working, I wonder what it would cost for the kit to do one of these ??

The kit from Gameco is $129 and the BKIT3 burner is around $205 plus shipping.

There's also a good video on YouTube of Corin - gameco building a forge using the kit - if you can't find it I am sure I have it saved somewhere

Corin's video covers just about everything you need to know. The kit comes with all parts pre-cut to fit.
Isowool to line the gas bottle. Think pink batts on steroids.
Ridgidiser to spray on the isowool. it sets it hard to stop particles breaking off the wool
Castable refractory for the floor and a firebrick to use as a door.

It's funny I got my gun licence when I turned 18 over 25years ago and did a lot of shooting and then I got married had kids and kept the guns just didn't shoot as often. A couple of years ago i got into knife making and met a lot of hunters and have now started getting back into shooting.
And the one thing I have found is both Shooters and knifemakers are the most helpful people Ive met.

just a word of warning guys, Brett sounds really nice and helpful and all that but he's really really dangerous to talk to.

You just have to stop him using messenger as it pops up on the ipad and the wife might be playing stupid games on it and you have to make sure all correspondence goes through your private email.

Yeah talk to him too much and you turn into secret squirrel
