when i was a kid we use to shoot a 22lr down the side of the house. the best way we found to almost eliminate impact noise was to hang some thick hessian bags in front of a 6" chunk of wood. they almost never got to the timber and if they did the noise they made was less than the radio we had on, we were using T22's from memory.

I made this up out of scrap steel.
The back is 2mm thick and angled to skid the pellets down.
The little animal sils just lift out.
Other than that, a box full of old newspapers or carpet makes next to no sound.
