Re: A bit excited
Good question Gary, I was using Sierra 55gn 1365s for a test run, noting really set the world on fire, will check and see how much BM2 I used. I want to go to a 50gn projectile so I have a heap of test loads done up to try 50gn Zmax with 2219, too bloody wet to get out to where I have my range set up. I have some test loads for the 17/222 to go through, the PPC is second cab off the rank. Ill look in the cupboard I may have some extra ppc cases, will check and let you know tomorrow.

Re: A bit excited
Thanks for posting the pic kickin must learn how to do it from my iPhone
Any how gave the barrel a good clean and had a look with the borescope not to bad so loaded up a few and mounted a scope then had an idea to set up a switch scope in opti locs so I have a 8x56 kahles for spotlighting and a 8-32 x56 nightforce for daytime use, I'm here to tell you that you can take them on and off with no change to zero.
So hows it shoot, beyond expectations given the loads were thrown together mid range powder load 26gns H322 with 50 and 55 gn projectile very mild with no signs of pressure also some 40gn nos bt with 28gn bm1 worked well I think with some tweaking that will be my rabbit load 50gn vmax shot less than 25mm at 200 in blustery conditions just need to do some velocity checks but I think it will be a shooter.
Cheers
