Hornady 223 steel case

Has anyone been using any of this stuff with the 55gr soft point? I'm getting some interesting results with it and for the price it seems ok. I've been using it for some plinking whilst keeping my handloads for hunting.

Mate uses it in a 7615, stupid stuff shoots MOA!

I've not tried that myself but am always after a bargain on well performing ammo.

BTW I saw an ad in the latest SSAA magazine for some of the Australian Outback stuff at good prices. Too bad it's in another state...

Only about 10c a shot cheaper than you can pick up brass cased ammo for, sell your once fired brass or keep it to reload and you would be in front.

Absolutely, plenty are buying bulk ammo, then recouping costs by selling the brass.

I'm having a couple of issues with it from both my .223's including a couple of cracked cases. I'll see if I've got time for a short write up on it later.

I was wanting something I could practise with and not have to worry about the brass. I'm getting tired of always searching the grass for those carefully prepped cases!

Are some of you guys buying 2nd hand brass? I thought about it but with the cost of new ADI brass at the time it didn't seem like that good of a deal.

It would be very difficult to load as cheap those bulk prices. And if they worked then you wouldn't even try to save those. There is an argument for that

With me, losing a case is not the monetary value (though that is annoying), its more the prep that's gone into them. They are all little works of art!!

. And when I have prepped brass and a good load I can't see the point practicing with anything else
