Quad bike front rack

I recently bought a quad that I have set up with a front rack.
There was a couple of prerequisites
1. capable of carrying 2 guns
2. stable enough to use as a shooting rest.
3. have a bit of storage ammo extra cloths etc.

The quad I settled on is a Polaris Sportsman 550 efi
Polaris use a system called lock and ride a rubber expandable
plug that fits into accessory hole in the body of the bike so
the rack is easy to remove to access the fuses and coolant header tank

That looks pretty good Ol55, gear on the front to break the cold winter breeze , guns held safely and close by .

Gary, looks good. Whick gun mounts did you use and is that a spotlight mount on the top rail in one photo?
Have done similar but looking to add some features.

The racks are Mad Dog and the spotlight bracket is Power beam,
the type that you would mount in the middle of your ute roof

Good setup Gary......very nice workmanship as well......
The lock and ride stuff works well I recon.
I recon you are going to have a good time with that setup

No George have not needed to change anything make sure it is stable enough to use as a rest I put my elbows on the handle bars and the forend on the noodle on the rack
plenty good enough to snipe crows etc at a good distance

We've used similar to Gary's idea, works well. Make the rest to suit your height.

Yep and as a added bonus the height of mine just happens to be the same as what I can duck down to and fit under branches, so if the rest wont go I know I cant duck low enough anyway.

Should also offer some roll over protection if things go pear shaped.
