Field Target Competition - Hornsby Smallbore Range - Sat 21st May 2016
Re: Field Target Competition - Hornsby Smallbore Range - Sat 21st May 2016
Yes non-licenced shooters can try it out under supervision provided they meet the requirements of the P650 (no crim rec, depression, drugs etc).

Hi JWD,
For numbers, just confirming that I'll be a starter on Saturday, but the newbie I was gonna bring can no longer make it.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

All good mate.
We're set up for small numbers but can take as many as want to come if needed.

Hi guys,
All good to go for tomorrow. Usual format. Turn up from 12 for a 1pm kickoff.
We have another group using the clubhouse so come around to the side door to the firing area.
See you then.

Re: Field Target Competition - Hornsby Smallbore Range - Sat 21st May 2016
Good day had by all with a total of 7 coming along. Followed the usual format but with greater amount of prone positions due to the baffles restricting some of shooting position choices in each bay. We have a prototype adjustable baffle that will be rolled out shortly that allows us to set the position for each bay depedning on the requirements of the day.
As with most comps, having fun and talking about and trying others airguns tended to take priority over serious comp shooting however we did (eventually) manage to get all targets completed twice.
Kees and Matt tied for 1st (25/30), Dave and Youngy tied for 2nd (24/30), Stinkitup and me for 3rd (21/30), and Nate on his Heritage Gecado (possibly the most fun to shoot though). Forgot how much fun this stuff is so lets see if we can get a decent crew together for Canberra.
