Which model of springer are / were available in Australia, I've seen airsporters & meteors
any mercurys or ss sports kicking about?

Airsporters, Meteors & Mercury's were popular & crop up a fair bit.
Superstars not so ( I snapped up the only two I've seen advertised in the last 3 years)
Supersports are still available new, rarely seen one for sale second hand though.

A mate of mine had a Mercury in .22
RWS 5.5mm pellets fell about 5mm into that big 5.6mm bore. 5.6mm British made Wasps were hard to come by.
