Great post HB

I would buy one of those rods just for the pleasure of knowing every time i used it that it was made by someone who gives a f@#k.

Nothing better than owning something of quality that is hand crafted by someone you can speak to. Like owning a piece of art really.

great stuff

G,day Shane
not sure of the hardness of the stainless , i know its 304 ,which i think from memory is around 90/92 rockwell ,304 i find easier to machine ,drills and taps nicer then 316 ,
what is the hardness of the average rifle barrel ?

G'day irish murphy
Mate you will enjoy the lathe ,just so many thing they are capable of ,the more you use it ,the more things it can do !!!
Have fun ,and keep playing around with it ,just make sure you wear safety glasses when using the lathe ,don;t want to sound like a nag ,but it bloody hurts to get steel slinters dug out of your eye
