Lee hand press
Anyone tried one? Would like to know if they are half decent so I can use one for FL sizing cases when I go to prize shoots across the country.

Re: Lee hand press
The old man has one, loads swede case fine with it.
I am thinking of one for similar reason or for decapping before resizing etc.

not sure which lee hand press you are referring to, but i have two Lee Hand Presses, Model 90685.
mine is good for neck sizing, depriming and seating, but no way can it FLS.
in my experience,it does not have the strength, stiffness or the leverage required.
cheers

Re: Lee hand press
That matches what I think of mine as well. Some time ago I used mine for neck sizing, depriming and seating at the range when working up loads. Handy for that, but I wouldn't consider it a good option to a bench-mounted press. I later went and got an old Lyman Spartan press, and attached it to a plank so I could g-clamp it to a bench at the range. That was a better option.dg wrote:brad
